We were thrilled to take part in the Humboldt Mile on June 2nd, 2018, presented by Dark Matter Coffee and 3Run2 Running Club, where 100% of the proceeds benefitted HFTD. As a result of our amazing supporters, we were able to raise $529, ALL of which goes directly towards HFTD!!! We believe firmly in what they do and are taking the chance you will to! Our team fundraising page on their site will remain active as long as possible, so please CLICK HERE to navigate to our team fundraising page and help support great people doing great work!
Hope For The Day achieves proactive suicide prevention through outreach and mental health education. Their motto is ‘it’s ok to not be ok’ and we think that’s a mantra worth showcasing. They believe suicide is a preventable mental health crisis, but we need to be PROACTIVE NOT REACTIVE! For each person they can equip, educate, and empower, they can impact thousands. They stand hand-in-hand with others to proactively reduce suicide completion rates, reported, and unreported. Our original project was handing out coats to the homeless of Chicago, many of whom suffer from the sort of mental health issues that Hope For The Day (HFTD) attempts to shed light on. Based on that connection we thought it to be a great fit to serve as a bridge between what they do and those who show us some love.
